DRIVING AGE:
The minimum age to rent a vehicle at Kydon Rent a Car for A, B, C, F1 category is 21 years, for the rest categories the minimum age for drivers to book a rental car is 23 years.
PAYMENT METHOD:
Customer can pay on arrival by cash, debit or credit card.
DRIVING LICENCE:
Drivers must produce a valid Driving License accepted by the Greek authorities, held for at least 1 year.
MINIMUM RENTAL CHARGE:
The minimum daily charge is 24hrs. In case that the car is not returned on the agreed time, the renter will be charged at least the cost of a rental day.
FINES AND VIOLATIONS:
The renter is totally responsible for any fines and administrative violations caused by him and must pay them.
CAR INSURANCE:
In Kydon Rent a Car every authorized driver is insured by civil liability towards other people for death, body injuries and material damages. The above cover is included in the general terms of Kydon Rent a Car contract with the insurance company.
Collision Damage Waiver insurance (CDW) is included with an excess (self risk) depending on the car category.
- For cars category A , A o/t , B , C , F1 and F2 the excess amount is 700€
- For cars category D ,E , F3 and K the excess amount is 900€
- For cars category G , J , L and W the excess amount is 1500€
Full Damage Waiver insurance with no excess (no self risk) is available and covers all repair costs in case of accident except the tires and damages underneath the car. It is valid only if the Greek driving code has not been violated. FDW is optional and you can request it either online or at the delivery point. The cost per day to benefit the FDW depends on the car category.
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS:
Additional drivers are free of charge.
FUEL POLICY:
The Renter is obliged to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it had when collected. In the case of returning the vehicle with less fuel, the renter will be charged with the fuel difference. No refunds are issued for vehicles returned with more fuel than when collected.
CHILD SEATS:
Child seats are free of charge and the availability is upon request.
NAVIGATOR – GPS:
The extra charge for GPS is 5€/day with a maximum charge of 50 Euros. The availability is upon request
CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING :
Occasionally it may be necessary to provide you a different vehicle depending on availability. Kydon Rent a Car reserves the right to make changes to your booking and provide you a different car of the same or bigger category.
TRANSPORTATION BY BOAT:
Only with the written approval of Kydon Rent a Car. Any damages caused at the vehicle during its transportation are not covered by any insurance.
PERSONAL DATA:
Renter accept his personal data to be registered in a computer. We ensure that your personal details are safe and we have taken all the necessary measures of encryption and secure connection website. We may use cookies to generate anonymous, cumulative statistics which enable us to understand how the public uses our website and help us improve their structure and content. The information collected does not allow us to identify you. The Renter agrees that KYDON has the right to send such personal data to any Police authorities when there are certain indications that there is a criminal act or traffic violation.
